AllMusic Review: Dave’s “We’re All Alone In This Together”

The Context:

When Dave speaks, England listens. Over the past half-decade, the South London MC has consistently proven that he’s not just one of London’s premiere lyricists, but one of the country’s generational voices, an evocative wordsmith able to tackle some of his nation’s most pressing social concerns. And with his debut album, 2019’s PSYCHODRAMA, he fulfilled even the loftiest of expectations – as I stated in my review for AllMusic.com, the rapper’s debut was a “generational classic” in the making.

After two years of (painful) absence, the British virtuoso returns with his second album, We’re All Alone In This Together, a globally-gazing effort that folds international concerns into his city’s wide spectrum of sounds. It doesn’t disappoint.
